Muslim Students Beaten In Ahmedabad: A case of assault on foreign students has come to light in Ahmedabad’s Gujarat University. It is alleged that Afghani and other students studying in the university were attacked late at night by some people wearing saffron gamchhas. This mob, shouting slogans of Jai Shri Ram, entered the hostel premises and beat up the foreign students. Along with this, stones were pelted at students and hostels were vandalized. The video of the entire incident has also surfaced. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has raised questions regarding the matter.
Also, questions were raised about the staff and system of Gujarat University that it appeared to be failing in the security of foreign citizens. The rector there has also been caught sleeping. The students were beaten brutally in the presence of everyone. After the information, the police have investigated the entire matter. Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi has summoned the DGP and Commissioner on the matter.
